A Note About Cleaning

Hey ladies,

I had a short, pleasant discussion with one of our elders this week. We talked about some rules for using the facilities. He was pleased that the buildings would be used and in such a wonderful way; but he did want us to have a few "clean up" rules. He was not chiding us for leaving the church in disarray, only helping us to keep things tidy. I agreed with his premise, that if the children work and help, they appreciate the use and will take better care of the buildings and grounds.

So here they are.

1. The last group in the S.S. classroom, the younger cogroup, will put the chairmposer study s aright, make sure all tables are back in their original position, and the floor swept.

2. The last group in the green room, the older picture study group, will straighten chairs, pick up trash, and make sure all looks right before they leave.

3. After nature study, the younger children, with a couple of moms directing, will pick up trash outside and put balls next to the building.

4. After nature study, the older children, with a couple of moms directing, will put away tables and chairs in the fellowship hall, sweep, do a quick mop, and straighten the kitchen.

All of this should take only a few minutes if we all work together. This will give the children a chance to bless others and learn responsibility for their environment.
